With the advent of cloud computing in the IT industry, an increasing number of companies are transitioning their resources to the cloud. This shift holds the promise of enhancing productivity, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness for these organizations.
However, the process of migrating to the cloud from on-premises environments or optimizing inefficient cloud architectures can be highly intricate. Complexity arises from various factors, such as legacy code, desired quality attributes, and organizational size.
Consequently, many companies seek to enlist specialized resources to navigate these complexities effectively. Recognizing the growing demand for skilled professionals in cloud architecture and engineering, universities play a pivotal role in preparing students to tackle real-world challenges.
This necessitates a strong collaboration between academic institutions and industries to ensure that educational programs align with industry needs. In the context of fostering this collaboration, our Cloud Club talk serves as a platform to share our experiences in teaching the cloud computing continuum to software engineering/software technology students at SDU in iterations.
The talk focuses on both the opportunities and challenges encountered during the learning and application processes. The speakers at this event represent a diverse blend of industry and academia, offering valuable insights from technical, conceptual, and pedagogical perspectives to the audience.
