WHAT TO EXPECT:

  • Closing the gap between now and a sustainable future
    Michael Simmelsgaard who is the Group COO of Ramboll will be presenting how Ramboll plan to contribute to closing the gap between now and a sustainable future. This is embodied in Ramboll’s current strategy, The Partner for Sustainable Change, which runs until 2025. The strategy is comprised of four unifying themes which will be presented, and the opportunities associated with these.
  • Sustainable IT in Ramboll
    Thomas Angelius, CIO in Ramboll Group will be presenting Ramboll IT initiatives to address sustainability challenges from an IT and technology perspective.
  • Sustainability and human rights
    Technology and IT can have a significant impact on sustainability and human rights. IT will play a vital role in addressing and mapping these challenges and identify and track sustainability and human rights risks in the future. In this presentation, he will discuss the specific ways in which IT can be used to address sustainability and human rights challenges today and present the challenges we have in the IT-sector today.

Michael Simmelsgaard, COO, Ramboll Group

Michael Simmelsgaard (Ms. Sc. Business Administration & Logistics) is the Group Chief Operating officer in Ramboll responsible for the markets Americas, Energy, Environment & Health, Management Consulting, Sustainability and Innovation. He started in Ramboll as Managing Director for Energy after holding senior positions in Vattenfall, Ørsted, Danfoss and Siemens Wind Power. During his relatively short tenure with Ramboll, Michael has initiated a number of strategic initiatives that will enable Ramboll to further develop our leading position as a sustainable partner in the green transition, underpinned by recent significant wins in offshore wind and power-to-X. 

Thomas Angelius, CIO, Ramboll Group

Thomas Angelius (Ms .Sc. in Economics) has been the CIO for Ramboll since October 2018. He has worked with IT and business transformation for more than 25 years. Prior to joining the Ramboll Group, Thomas has held various leadership positions within business and IT in the Pharmaceutical Industry and in the Financial Services Industry. Thomas has a strong focus on helping global organisations transform and create new business by shaping their digital and innovation agenda. He has extensive experience transforming information technology agendas to focus on strategic business goals, managing cost and creating scalable agility and has delivered strong business results in the intersection of business and IT.

Andreas Schjølin, Sustainability Lead, ATEA

Andreas Schjølin (Ms. Sc. Business Administration) has been Ateas Sustainability Lead since April 2020. He has worked with sustainability for more than a decade and been guiding a wide range of businesses and organisations on a more sustainable path. Andreas is also leading The Policy Board for Green Transition at The Danish ICT Industry Association (IT-Branchen) and has been working closely with the education of young professionals in the Sustainable Development Goals through close collaboration with UN Global Compact.
