Last year, IT-Branchen launched “9 Recommendations for your company’s green IT transition” – a hands-on guide for companies to initiate sustainable initiatives, particularly in the IT domain.
With over 500 downloads already, the recommendations have been a great success among our members. Building on that, we developed The Spiderweb Tool, which makes the 9 recommendations even more actionable and easy for anyone to start using today.

Several of our international and English-speaking members have asked for both the recommendations and The Spiderweb Tool in English, and we’ve listened.
You can now download “9 Recommendations for your company’s green transition” and “Get started – The green IT transition” in English.
Get Started Quickly
In principle, you only need to follow these six steps to begin:

1. Find Out Where You Are Today
Review each of the 9 recommendations and check off the ones you’ve already implemented. This will give you a clear picture of your current progress in the green IT transition.

2. Mark Your Current Situation
For each of the 9 recommendations, mark your current position on the Spiderweb using a solid line.

3. Decide Where You Want to Go
Based on the 9 recommendations, decide which new activities you want to prioritise moving forward. Assign a responsible person and set an expected completion date for each initiative.

4. Mark Your Priorities on the Spiderweb
For every recommendation, indicate where you want to position your company in the future using a dotted line.

5. Communicate Your Green IT Priorities
Once you have completed the Spiderweb and your priorities are clear, decide how you will communicate them to the rest of the organisation.

6. Track Progress and Adjust Goals
Regularly review the implementation with those involved. The spiderweb can also be used to facilitate a dialogue with management to show progress, secure buy-in, and set new green IT goals.
Download the spiderweb tool and start your green transition today. If you want the tool in Danish, you can find it here.
