Business = Technology
Anne Meyer on her role, motivation, and journey in the IT industry. In the fast-paced and ever-evolving world of IT, few professionals manage to build such an impactful career as Anne Meyer, Partner at Deloitte.
What is your role in the company today, and what difference do you feel you are making?
I am a Partner in our Engineering offering, responsible for our largest IT/Engineering transformation programmes, working with some of our most strategic clients. My daily tasks revolve around delivering on our programmes and projects, managing strategic alliances, and collaborating with our local and global engineering talents.
Why do you find it exciting to work in the IT industry, and what motivates you in your work?
I find it incredibly rewarding to support clients in solving their main challenges enabled by technology. My excitement lies in witnessing how technology transform our lives and completely change the way businesses operate both now and in the future. One of the challenges that motivates me the most is bridging the gap between the new shiny technology (e.g. Agentic AI) coming from tech vendors, who are often five years ahead, and the current state of our clients.
How did you get into the IT industry?
I started my career in technology consulting, where I have more or less been since then, in addition to holding leadership roles in the tech industry. My journey into the IT industry was driven by a passion for solving complex challenges and understanding how technology can support these solutions. This passion led me to focus on cloud and engineering.
